WHOVA APP

We will be using the Whova App as well as a printed program for the conference. Once the Whova app is released, you will be able to download it on your mobile device and also access it via a browser on any device.

In Whova you will see your session(s) listed. You will also have a speaker profile which you can update. Before, during, and after your session takes place, you can use the chat feature in Whova to communicate with people who have added your session to their Whova Agendas. You can include links to resources. We suggest putting all the materials you would like to share in a Google folder and share the link to that folder in your session on the Whova App

TOPICS/STRANDS

In the Whova App, your session will be tagged with all the topics/strands that you checked in your proposal. This will allow attendees to search for sessions by topic/strand. Please contact Nell Eckersley Nelle@lacnyc.org if any changes need to be made to your session topics/strands or description.

PRESENTATION TYPES

Concurrent Session: 70 minutes. Offered Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Room setup: You had the option to select rows or roundtable when you submitted your proposal.

WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED

• Screens in all rooms
• Wi-Fi connection
• Projectors
• Chart Paper and pens

WHAT YOU SHOULD PLAN ON BRINGING

• Your own computer and any special adapters or plugs (HDMI adapter, RGB adapters, correct Apple MAC VGA adapters, or external speakers). Our projectors connect using the following: HDMI, VGA-In, VGA-out, Composite Video, USB power out, Audio-In, Audio-Out and RS-232C
• Speakers if you plan to use them
• Handouts in the quantity needed for sessions (prepare at least 25 handouts)

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Register for the conference by April 7th, 2025.

Review your presentation’s information and scheduled date and time.

All changes must be submitted by March 10th, 2025 to smills@lwny.org.
